Are braces painful?

However, once your teeth begin to shift, it's normal to experience mild pressure or soreness for a few days. This is a sign that the braces are working to move your teeth into the correct position.

The discomfort is usually temporary and settles within 3–5 days. You may also feel slight pressure after routine adjustment appointments, but it is generally manageable.
